Summer Sprint Sizzler Rescheduled for September 3rd
WAYNESFIELD, Ohio (7/3/17) – After a meeting with 100+ drivers, event promotor Ron Hammons, NRA Sprint Invader, GLSS, and F.A.S.T officials were forced to postpone the Summer Sprint Sizzler until Sunday, September 3rd. Full details on gate times, events, and prices will be announced at a later time.
During the meeting, drivers felt that the track surface was too far gone and unsafe to work back in from the passing rain showers received between 6PM and 9PM.
All wristbands and tickets will be honored at the rescheduled event on Sunday, September 3rd. Any race fans that are unable to make it to the rescheduled event can return their wristbands and tickets for a full refund. All tickets and wristbands must be mailed in along with a self-addressed, stamped envelope to the track office at 15595 Waynesfield Road, Waynesfield, Ohio 45896. Wristbands must be postmarked by September 3rd in order to receive a refund.
Racing returns to Waynesfield Raceway Park this Saturday night July 8th for the 7th running of the Dick Spencer Memorial featuring a showdown between the Boss Non Wing Sprints and the weekly Quest Federal Credit Union Non Wing Sprints. The winner will take home $1500. The Performance Powder Coating AMSA Mini Sprints, Satellite Connections UMP Modifieds, Block Insurance Tough Trucks, and the Indian Lake Outfitter Compacts will also be on the ticket. Gates will open at 4PM; grandstands at 5PM. Racing gets underway at 7PM.
