Blue-Collar Showcase Set For This Weekend!

WAYNESFIELD, Ohio (5/31/18) – After a stellar night of racing in the Bob Hampshire Classic, Waynesfield Raceway Park will return back to action this Saturday night with the Blue-Collar Showcase. This event is slated to feature some of the best weekly racing around, with the return of the Satellite Connections UMP Modified’s, the AMSA Mini Sprints, the Block Insurance Agency Tough Trucks, and the Indian Lake Outfitters Compact divisions. This will be the return of the Tough Trucks since opening night following two rain outs over the past month, and the return of the Mini Sprints since the beginning of May.

After being forced to postpone two weeks ago, the Tough Trucks will proceed to run the Jeff Augustine Memorial Truck Race. Jeff was a 10 year sponsor on the 37j truck of Roy Miller, and sadly passed away over the winter. Miller wanted to honor his longtime friend and supporter, so this event slated for Saturday June 2nd will be celebrated with heavy hearts, and fond memories of Jeff. While he never made it to Waynesfield to watch a race with farming season being the same as racing, Jeff never failed to call Roy or stop over following a night of racing. This Saturdays Tough Truck race will be in honor of this great man.

WRP will offer four diverse classes this Saturday, with adult general admission just $12! Kids aged 11-15 are admitted for $6, with everyone under the age of 10 admitted for FREE. Pit access is available to anyone for $25
