Weekend Warriors Return Saturday to WRP
WAYNESFIELD, Ohio (6/21/18) – Following the All Star break this past Sunday, the weekend warriors are set to return to the 1/3rd mile this Saturday night, June 23rd at Waynesfield Raceway Park in Waynesfield, Ohio. Three divisions of racing are scheduled for Saturday night as drivers pick up where they left off in their chase for the track championship. The Quest Federal Credit Union Non Wings sprints return with Dallas Hewitt leading the point standings by just 12 points over Lee Underwood. Both Hewitt and Underwood are still looking for their first A-main victory this season. The Performance Power Coating AMSA Mini Sprints also return Saturday with a points battle that could not be any tighter. Nick Daugherty comes into the weekend with a one-point lead over Chris Bounds. Ron Coleman sits third, just two points behind Daugherty. The top four drivers sit within striking distance of the points leader.
The night will come to a close with the UMP Modifieds presented by Satellite Connections. Jeff Koz currently leads the way by 13 points over Josh Morton. Weasel Phlipot and Scottie Williams are tied for third with 243 points each. Koz, Williams, and Phlipot all sit with A-main victories on the season.
Adult general admission to Saturday’s #NightOfSpeed is just $12. Kids aged 11-15 are admitted for $6 with everyone under the age of ten admitted for FREE. Pit access is available to anyone for $25.
