End of Season Schedule Changes Announced
WAYNESFIELD, Ohio (8/10/18) – As the sun begins to set on the heart of the racing season, Waynesfield Raceway Park officials have announced changes to the remaining 2018 schedule.
With kid’s night being so successful in the past, officials have decided to spread the event over two weekends. The first of those weekends will take place Saturday, August 11th presented by Indian Lake Outfitters. The first 100 kindergarten to fifth grade students through the gates will receive a new backpack courtesy of David Yoder Construction and the Vores Touring Compact series. On the track, the event will feature the first ever appearance from the Vores Touring Compacts. Waynesfield’s very own Block Insurance Tough Trucks will also be on the program running for $400 to win. The event is headlined by the Satellite Connections UMP Modifieds running for $1200 to win.
The second kid’s night will take place the following weekend, Saturday, August 18th. All school aged kids in attendance will be entered in a raffle to receive school supplies for the upcoming school year courtesy of Waynesfield Raceway Park weekly competitors. The Indian Lake Outfitter Compacts have also been added to the program as a points make-up event due to rain outs. The August 18th event will now feature four divisions of racing including the Quest Federal Credit Union Non Wing sprints, Satellite Connections UMP Modifieds, Block Insurance Tough Trucks, and Indian Lake Outfitter Compacts.
The August 25th event will serve as championship night for the Indian Lake Outfitter Compacts only. All other divisions will continue points battles past this event.
The Block Insurance Tough Trucks will be added to the September 1st event as a make-up for rain canceled events. The event will serve as the final points race for the Performance Powder Coating AMSA Mini Sprints.
Details surrounding the September 15th season closer have been announced. The event will feature the Quest Federal Credit Union Non Wing sprints, Satellite Connections UMP Modifieds, and Block Insurance Tough Trucks.
