WAYNESFIELD, Ohio – Waynesfield Raceway Park will wrap up the 2021 racing season Saturday, Oct. 16 with the non-wing MPD Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series (BOSS), the USAC Midwest Thunder Midgets and the winged 305 sprints in action. It also will crown the 2021 BOSS champion and could be one of if not the final dirt sprint car event of 2021 in Ohio.
Pit gates will open at 3 p.m. with the main grandstand gates swinging open at 4 p.m. and racing at 7 p.m. Keep an eye on Waynesfield Raceway Park’s website and social media as gates time could be moved up due to weather.
Ticket prices are $18 for general admission; $15 for senior citizens (ages 62 and up); $10 for teens (ages 11-15) with kids 10 and under free. Pit passes are $30 and $20 for those ages 10 and under accompanied by a parent or guardian.
The BOSS travelers have made three trips to “The Field” in 2021 with Drew Rader, Paul Dies and Isaac Chapple taking the wins. The Thunder Midgets came to town once and Ian Creager took the victory. The winged 305 sprints will compete under Fremont Speedway’s rules (no wing sliders) and the feature event will pay the Fremont Speedway purse with each spot getting an extra $50 thanks to Kistler Engines ($800 to win, $500 for second, $380 for third, etc).
